At 10 a.m Friday Morning 2 suicide car bomb blasts shook Syria’s capital Damascus targeting heavily guarded intelligence buildings in one of the weirdest bomb attacks in place and timing.
5 minutes later the Syrian regime stated that it identified the plotters as al-Qaeda members, and that the blasts were the act of two suicide bombers, in two separate cars, in a security area in Damascus.
This coincides with the arrival of the Arab League delegation to Syria.
A couple of days ago, Lebanese Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn had stated that al-Qaeda members had managed to arrive to Syria through Lebanese territory.
Logically speaking, with all the data that has been pumped into the media, the above scenario should add up.
But what astounds is that the regime was able to identify the plotters in such a short time, while, until today, the Assad regime has been unable to identify the assassin of Imad Mughnieh, a top Hizbullah commander, blown up in a Damascus car bombing on February 12, 2008.
